Motorola Moto Maxx: Specs and Features

After Google overtaking Motorola, they released some amazing mobiles and the upcoming phone Motorola Moto Maxx is yet another haul. With amazing display features will this phone will be the next gen phone that impresses everyone? Lets see.

Coming to the design it comes in various color options just like iPhone 5c. Not in terms of similar colors but the variants. It comes in white, black, brown,  grey and white phone with a wooden design inspired back cover. It has a huge screen at 5.2 inches which can be difficult to handle single handedly. But people still love larger screens which is amazing for multimedia and gaming.

The screen has 1080 X 1920 resolution capacity with 424 pixels per inch. The super AMOLED screen with corning gorilla glass makes the screen as one of the most vibrant display available in market. But yet it will be lower when compared to  few phones like the Google's own Nexus 6.

The back side of the phone sports a 13 mega pixel camera with Motorola's logo beneath it. The camera can shoot full HD videos and also 4K recording is available. The secondary camera is a 2 MP shooter which can also shoot in HD.

The one thing that impressed me is that this phone is water proof. Many phones are incorporating this feature starting with Sony Xperia Z2 and now Moto Maxx. Motorola Moto Maxx runs on Android KitKat and is expected to get Lollipop upgrade. The battery capacity is 2300 mAh and I expected a little more for such a huge device. There is no expandable memory card option and it comes in a 32 GB variant. I guess they opted out 16 GB variant.

The power under the hood is huge. It comes with quad core Qualcom Snapdragon 801 Soc accompanied by 2 GB RAM. It has enough juice to handle multi tasking and graphic rich games with ease.

So will this phone will be the big guy from Motorola to give enough competition with existing big boys? Will get on to it in my full depth  review, coming soon.

Early Verdict:  Motorola Moto Maxxx has many promising features and can give good competition to many existing mobiles. There are few features that are little less such as the 2 gigs RAM and lower battery capacity while many phones with similar processor and features are offering a minimum of 3 gis of RAM and big batteries. To support a big processor we expect a bigger RAM and enough juice to last for an entire day on heavy to moderate usage.

Still it can be a wonderful phone. Will get back to you with  full review once I get enough time and hands on this mobile.
