Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro: A replacement for Note 7?
After the embarrassing failure of Note 7, Samsung have released it's new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro which was available exclusively to Chinese market during it's launch timeline. They are slowly expanding to different countries depending upon the sales and is now available in India through Amazon. The phone mimics the Note 7 in most of it's feature with the exclusion of S pen. With massive 6 gigs of RAM and 4000 mAh battery the phone has many other promising features that has lot of potential to win your heart.
DESIGN
The Samsung galaxy C9 pro is very decent built with full metal body. The phone can be slippery but still has good grip. The large size of the phone may make it a bit hard to operate single handedly. The power button is on right side along with dual sim and micro sd card trays. The volume rocker is on left side. The bottom edge has the single speaker grill on left side which is quite an odd position. When you operate the phone with your right hand the speaker grill will get covered by your hand making the sound inaudible. But the ear piece acts as secondary stereo speaker with which you can hear enough sound. It also has USB type C port and 3.5 mm earphone jack at the bottom edge.
The back side of the phone has a 16 megapixel camera with dual LED flash. The secondary camera is also a 16 megapixel shooter. Both the cameras can shoot in Full HD.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro has a large 6 inches Super AMOLED screen. The display is quite vibrant and bright colors as all AMOLED screens do. The screen tends to over saturate the colors but yet it is a beautiful display with great viewing angles. The screen resolution is 1080 X 1920 pixels at the rate of 367 pixels per inch. It also has alway on display feature. The display is 2.5 inch curved glass with Corning Gorilla glass protection.

The phone comes with 64 GB of internal memory and has expandable memory card slot. The sensors include proximity sensor, gyroscope, finger print sensor, geo magnetic sensor and ambient light sensor.
Both the cameras are 16 mega pixel shooters with F/1.9 aperture size. Both cameras can shoot in full HD.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 pro comes with a dual sim slot and has memory card slot which is very pleasing to know that they did not included a hybrid sim slot. The phone is slim at 6.9 mm thickness and weighs 190 grams.
The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 out of the box and is expected to have Android Nougat update.
VERDICT
