LG Google Nexus 4 Launched in India

While Google was busy in I/O 2013, LG sneakily launched it's Nexus 4 in India. Running on Jellybean 4.2.2 LG Nexus 4 comes with some promising features. The phone is not yet available on stores but can be pre-ordered from collaborated online stores.

LG Nexus 4 is powered with 1.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon processor and 2 GB RAM. It has 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera for video calling. The rear camera has LED flash and the cam features classic options like face/smile detection, geo tagging and photo sphere.

The LG Nexus 4 screen is pretty impressive with 4.7 inches True IPS HD scratch resistant display. With screen resolution of 720 X 1028 pixels it reaches nearly 318 ppi which is some what lesser when compared to similar mobiles with similar specs.

It weighs around 139 grams which slightly heavier than Samsung Galaxy S III (136 grams) and S4 (130 grams) but lighter than Sony Xperia Z (146 grams). It has a thickness of 9.1 mm which makes it little bit thicker than other Xperia Z, S III and S4. Battery is powered to 2100 mAh. No FM radio.

LG Google Nexus 4 is available in 16 GB variant only in India. It has no expandable memory slot. 32 GB variants are planned to be released later.

VERDICT:

LG Google Nexus 4 is good device with some decent specs and it comes for a price around 26, 000 rupees (INR). The price is quite low when compared to similar devices of same range but is not fully worthy though. There were huge expectations on this mobile since it's release has been officially delayed for 6 months. Will this Nexus UI based LG flagship will fit in the competition?
