WhatsApp Brings back the Old Text Status Update

After the new photo status update many users were confused where the text - only status update went missing. But it was removed in previous versions of update and only photo update status was available. Thanks to the developers, they took the feedback of users and brought back the text - only status update with little changes.




The security update which included a two - step verification was useful and applauded by the users but the recent 'status' update left many users, especially who use WhatsApp to let their friends and family know of their 'status' via a text message update left them in distress. It is quite common to see the most popular status' in WhatsApp like 'At work', 'Can't talk, WhatsApp Only' have just vanished.

With the feedback given by users regarding this, WhatsApp decided to bring back its old text status update. In previous versions you have seen a separate tab for 'status' in settings of WhatsApp, but in present update there is no such option instead there is 'About' option.


Tap on settings in your WhatsApp and then on your profile name to see the new 'about' option and with that you can set your text status back again. You will also find your old custom status messages in this new option which have been backed up.

With this new update WhatsApp also released a new video streaming option. Any videos you receive can be seen before they are downloaded. Videos will be downloaded to your phone while the video is playing.
