WhatsApp to introduce group voice and video calls

It has been almost three years since WhatsApp has introduced voice calling support. Now it is time to push this feature to the next level, group calling. Although this feature is available in other chatting apps such as Line, it is one of the most anticipated features on WhatsApp.

A couple of days ago, WhatsApp beta V2.18.39 was released for developers which features the audio and video calling feature to multiple persons at once. Until now the voice calling feature was limited to two members only, but this limit will be waived off in future with the public release.

According to latest leak by WABetainfo, the group calls support both voice and video. They also posted a couple of screenshots where they were able to call multiple users of a group. This is highly expected feature by many WhatsApp users. This can be very helpful for 'family' groups who are far away from each other who can talk altogether in a single group call.

There is no confirmed news whether if there is any limit for the number of people to join in a group call, still is warming and welcoming feature.
